Rivergum Christian College began with an idea in 1981 to establish a Christian school in the Riverland and after an involved planning process and fantastic assistance from volunteers, Riverland Christian School opened in 1986.
The College was established by local Christian parents who had a vision of developing a nurturing College community where faith and Biblical teachings are the cornerstone of education and individual growth. The original steering committee intended it to be a low-fee, parent-controlled Christian school with a commitment to inspire students to live upright lives, be people of excellent character, and give high regard to learning and living disciplines.
