Rivergum will continue the journey of becoming a Foundation-Year 12 College as we were approved for senior secondary (Years 11 & 12) from 2020. We will add Year 11 first, progressing to Year 12 in 2021.

Principal, Mr Andrew Talbot, believes it’s an exciting milestone in the College’s history and was pleased to announce it to the school community.

“It is with great excitement that I am able to announce that yesterday (Thursday 27th June) we received approval from the Education Standards Board to deliver Years 11 & 12 at Rivergum! This is a milestone for the College and has been a long and intensive process but we are now officially a Foundation to Year 12 education provider,” he said.

“It is important to recognise and thank CEN (Christian Education National) and AISSA (Assoc. of Independent Schools SA) for their support and guidance through this process. We will continue our plan to expand year-on-year to graduate our first Year 12 cohort in 2021, and are working hard to determine our SACE subject offerings, targeted staff recruitment and facilities needed — so watch this space!”

Rivergum has already secured government funding and grant monies to begin building works later this year and into 2020, including a new multi-purpose hall with toilet block, specialised home economics kitchens, a covered outdoor learning area above the hardcourt and other general learning area improvements. A nature play area will also be established along with other playground renovations.
