Harmony Week is a national week of cultural respect and acknowledgement to all those who call Australia home, from the indigenous peoples to those born thousands of kilometres away. It is a time to embrace our cultural diversity.
What is Harmony Week?
Harmony Week is about creating a culture where everyone belongs, everyone is valued and where we understand and respect our diversity and recognise it makes us stronger. It is a week where our message is “Everyone belongs”.
Since 1999, more than 80,000 Harmony Week events have been held in childcare centres, schools, community groups, churches, businesses and federal, state and local government agencies across Australia.

Our Cultural Diversity
Language and cultural heritage is something that we value at Torrens Valley Christian School. Our lives are enriched as we embrace diversity, experience difference, view things from another standpoint and engage with our global community.
Within our school we draw upon over 25 different cultural and ethnic backgrounds! We embrace this diversity and celebrate the richness that these backgrounds bring to our community!
Unity in Christ
As Christians, we are called to love all people, showing kindness and understanding to all.
1 Peter 3:8 encourages us with the words, “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
At TVCS EVERYONE BELONGS! We value you and your family as we develop them to believe, belong and become all that God created them to be!
